Bush's speech.

Editor,
What does a free-market capitalist mean when he calls on workers to "sacrifice for a cause greater than yourself"? Lofty altruist ideals are scoffed at by these people, the NYT included, as unrealistic and naive in a self-interest driven world. This marketing by emotional manipulation is a trick the ruling class produces when it needs a little blood in addition to their tax cuts.
