Senate hearings on DHS's failure to serve Gulf Coast residents adequately in the aftermath of Katrina give the impression that the Katrina disaster occurred in the past, but nothing could be further from the truth, as this disaster is ongoing, with tens of thousands of evacuees slated to be evicted from hotels in the next month and no plan or resources in place to house them.
