Venezuelan "opposition" spokesman Julio Borges claims that Hugo Chavez is trying to "crush dissent". Has Senor Borges not noticed the startling superfluity of opposition media outlets in Venezuela, each slandering Hugo Chavez with a deluge of libelous and fictional charges?
Senor Borges also claims that Hugo Chavez is "militarizing" the delivery of government services. Who besides the Venezuelan military has the manpower, logistical capabilities, and discipline to undertake large scale distribution of services? Private corporations? Who steal from the taxpayers, steal from the poor, and deliver nothing?
