Editor,
It is not "important" that George Bush recover his supposed authority. It is important -- to preserve the balance of powers, the Bill of Rights, and the rule of law -- that he be impeached. It is also important, after he is removed from office, that he be indicted and tried for violating, at the very least, U.S. and international laws prohibiting torture.
