Ronald Reagan's United States of America was no more a "powerful symbol of freedom" than George W. Bush's. In fact, Reagan's formula of class warfare at home, subverting democracies abroad, and teaching dictators' thugs torture "techniques" at the School of the Americas are the blueprint for George Bush's fascist dream. Surely you do not mean by "freedom" license for corporate plunder.
