U.S. Military to patrol Mexico border?

NAFTA has made rich American and rich Mexican investors richer while impoverishing poor Mexican farmers and driving them off their land. Neoliberal American ideologues now propose to militarize the Mexico-U.S. border to punish further people fleeing the economic disaster that "free trade" has created in Mexico. The way to slow emigration from Mexico to the U.S.A. is to invest in Mexico for the benefit of Mexican workers, not to plunder Mexico for the benefit of a few rapacious capitalists and not to transform the United States into a military fortress.
