Bernanke to ruling class:
        Workers require crumbs.

Editor,

Ben S. Bernanke noticed recently that corporate globalization, as intended, has increased capitalists' share of the global economy, but, as designed, has done so at the cost of real-wage stagnation and job insecurity for workers. Ben's message to the ruling class? It is time to throw workers a bone -- retraining perhaps for "displaced" workers -- to preempt a revolt that could potentially destabilize the capital markets. I like the way he couched his proposal in terms of concern for workers' welfare, because, as everybody knows, this is the last thing capitalists care about.
