Mr. Natural says . . .

Editor,

Mr. Natural says: "Use the right tool for the job." Strategic bombers, aircraft carriers, battle tanks, and the rest of the American Cold War arsenal are not the correct tool with which to fight terrorism.

Worse, 60 years of anti-communist post-war foreign policy extremism -- toppling Mossadegh in 1953, arming and supporting Saddam Hussein, propping up autocratic and dictatorial regimes throughout the Middle East, in sum eliminating secular opposition to Western capitalists' plunder of the Moslem world -- preceded by 60 years of Western capitalists' colonialism in the Moslem world, are hardly the correct tool for winning the hearts and minds of the Moslem world.

The contradiction boils down to the assumed manifest destiny of Western capitalists to dominate the Moslem world versus the nationalist strivings and aspirations of a Moslem populace whose secular leadership has been disappeared, tortured, and murdered by friends in the region of the American ruling class.

So we the people of the U.S.A. are supposed to be as scared of "terrorism" as American capitalists are. Personally I am not. I don't have as much to lose. I have no interest in ripping off the Moslem world, and I don't care if the American military, American banks, and American corporations are driven out of there.
