Pedophilia. George Bush.

Editor,

I read your essay on pedophilia with interest, especially regarding "'neutralization,' a psychological rationalization used by groups that deviate from societal norms." That pedophiles "deem potentially injurious facts and beliefs harmless . . . by denying that a victim is injured, condemning critics and appealing to higher loyalties" reminds me of the rationalizations George Bush and his cronies invoke to justify wars of aggression, torture, spying on Americans, and otherwise undermining the U.S. Constitution and fundamental American values.
