Chris Cillizza's report on web video's low-cost, high-impact utility in political campaigns underlines the absolute necessity that Congress legislate net neutrality into the law of the land.
It is in the interest of giant telecommunications corporations and their fellow travelers to maintain the financial bar to political speech as high as possible. This is because giant corporations are inherently undemocratic, authoritarian, and virulently opposed to governance by civil society -- while of course it is shallow-pocketed civil society who must endure the consequences of unregulated corporations' self-interested, arbitrary, and destructive practices.
