The captains of finance have made a finer mess of the American economy this time than they managed with the savings and loan scandal, the arbitrage and insider trading scandal, the Enron scandal, the WorldCom scandal, the dot.com bubble, BushCo's tax cuts, and off-shoring the American manufacturing sector.
So if we taxpayers are going be called upon once again to set things right while the perpetrators of this travesty spend their ill-gotten gains on fancy gifts for themselves, could our government please install some competent regulatory oversight so this doesn't happen again? Please?
