Brazen?
What is brazen is the BTC pipeline, started under Bill Clinton, to pump Caspian Sea oil from Azerbajan via Georgia to Turkey and fortified with a massive build-up of arms, provided primarily by the United States and Israel, on Russia's border.
Naturally this power play by giant American oil corporations is cast as a shocking power play by Russia.
George Bush's prattling on about "democracy" and "freedom" is code for collusion between multinational corporations to provide themselves license to plunder with less constraint.
