Russia Never Wanted a War

If prominent figures in the American political class understood foreign relations as Mr. Gorbachev does in terms of ordinary people's lives instead of the bottom lines of giant corporations, the last 30 years might have seen the possibility of peace on this planet advance instead of an ever-worsening descent into belligerence, division, and outright violence.
