It is Not Time for Iraq to Pay the Bill.

It is time for the U.S. to pay reparations to Iraq: for destroying its infrastructure; killing untold hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians; turning millions more into refugees; standing idly by while the entire nation of Iraq -- with the exception of its Oil and Interior Ministries and most of its oil fields, which it did deign to protect -- was looted.

That the U.S. would suggest that the Iraqi people pay to repair all of this damage that we piled onto them in a war we launched on false pretenses on their soil in order to steal their oil is the cruelest proposal of this century.
