Editor,
Uninvited military operations in Pakistan might be worth debating if there were a military solution to the problem of terrorist attacks potentially originating there.
But military attacks invariably kill ten times more civilians than combatants, as has already been proved in Iraq and Afghanistan and is occurring now -- to the horror of any observer, and more to the point the people who live there -- in Pakistan.
Is there no higher power other than a supposed white-haired gentleman in the sky who has the ability to rein in George Bush, Dick Cheney, and their crazed accomplices in this fruitless killing and destruction?
