The Spirit of Public Service

It is well and good to inspire working class people to provide the heavy lifting in delivering services to the communities where they live. But the spirit of public service needs foremost to be instilled in the disproportionately rich in the United States and in the increasingly predatory multinational corporations based in the U.S.A. -- to part with cold hard cash in meaningful amounts so that fired-up volunteers have viable alternatives to the bake sale with which to fund their efforts.
