From the moment George Bush stated he was "shocked" by what occurred at Abu Ghraib anyone with a brain on the planet Earth knew that torture was official policy of the Bush administration.
Year after agonizing year, revelation after infuriating revelation, what everybody already knew was confirmed again and again. And for some obscure political reason no one in a position to prosecute these crimes did.
Will Barack Obama imagine, too, that politics demand that he let these perps walk free? Or will he dutifully see to it that the laws of this land are executed?
