Free-traders freaking out.

Editor,

Free-traders freaking out about "protectionism" need to open their eyes to the need for the United States to bring its manufacturing sector back home.

There is not one iota of hope that our economy can survive on phony-baloney financial "products;" exporting recycled paper and importing computers; getting and keeping our entire population in debt; retail, security guard, and burger flipping jobs; etc.

The American manufacturing sector was created, when the U.S.A. was a developing economy (which it is again now if you haven't noticed), on the basis of "protectionist" policies.

Free-traders like that one billionaire is created for every million undocumented immigrants fleeing economies decimated by free trade, and they love divvying up corporate profits among corporate executives and share holders, cutting workers -- who create those profits -- here and abroad out of the equation.
