Editor,
(A) It's politics, in that the Repuglicans are setting Obama's government up to fail: by forcing the bill to be too small to succeed and by larding it with tax cuts.
(B) It's ideology, in that the Repuglican vision of America really is a desperate, impoverished wage-slave work force (who double as cannon fodder in their bosses' wars) lorded over by a fat ruling class who pay no taxes.
