Barack has lost his perspective.

Vietnam was supposed to be the domino that would bring down all of SE Asia. Afghanistan is supposed to be the domino that will not only bring down Central Asia, but also bring boatloads of nuclear armed terrorists to American shores.

Barack has been captured by the maniacs who manage the Washington bubble. His arguments are all based on worst-case scenarios now that he is being briefed by Dr. Stangelove every morning. Even his goof-ball bank bailouts are based on worst-case scenarios. Barack has lost his perspective.

Taliban fighters are trying to expel a foreign occupying army. So what do we do? Send in a bigger army. Who gets killed? Afghan civilians. This enterprise is idiotic. Money for civil society and tiny-footprint training for Afghan security forces to protect infrastructure and human services projects is the only way to "win" in Afghanistan.
