Restitution.

Editor,

These banks have not fully repaid their obligations to the American people. They have done virtually nothing to alleviate the suffering they have caused, the homes lost, the foreclosures still to come. Nothing they can do can put 15 million workers back to work. They would be out of business themselves if they were not handed gigantic loans and promises to back future loans they make. The U.S. Treasury making $4 billion on the bank bailout is the wrong subject to be discussing when it comes to restitution, which of course we will never hear a word about as the fat cats go back to business as usual.
