No reform.

Editor,

We will hear a lot of eloquent talk from the president, political explanations from Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats that financial sector regulation is "off the table" and it "can't be done" because it doesn't have the handful of obstructionist Republican votes that would make it "bipartisan," and hysterical bald-faced lies from FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, and right-wing talk radio about how the black guy in the white house is a communist.

But there will be no regulation, just as there is will be no health care reform beyond 60 million new mandatory customers for the "health insurance" mafia, no withdrawal from Iraq, escalation in Afghanistan, no closing of Guantanamo.

The American people are still being played for suckers by the corporate aristocracy and their bought lackeys in Washington, and the only people marching in the street are zombies brainwashed with right-wing fascist lies about "Socialism! Communism! Fascism!"

We have fallen through the looking glass, and it is only a matter of time before the idiocy that reigns in the U.S.A. explodes altogether and ruins us all -- except for the very rich, who make money no matter who starves or dies.
