Forgotten in time.

The people President Obama works for hire their workers overseas. The American workforce is overpriced from their perspective and no longer needed now that a burgeoning middle class has bootstrapped itself into a consumer society in India and China.

More police with more sophisticated weapons -- Blackwater mercenaries maybe -- will be used to make sure unemployed Americans do not try to steal anything they need, as has been done for decades in crumbling American inner cities. More private prisons will be built.

People who used to be middle class in America were unfamiliar with the misery of the millions of poor people in this country before the latest bubble burst. Citizens foreclosed and laid-off today will become similarly invisible to their former neighbors in time.
