Post-racial.

Tokenism on the part of the white establishment worked as it was intended: to deflect attention from pernicious racial injustice in American society. A few black millionaires, a few high-profile TV personalities, a few black movie stars, a do-nothing black president owned and operated by big money, and no one has to think about -- let alone be aware of -- the suffering of millions of poor, unemployed, deliberately under-educated, and/or incarcerated black people in this country.

"Post-racial" is such an amazing crock of nonsense you have to hand it to the right-wing think tank who undoubtedly thought the notion up. You really can fool a vast majority of couch-bound American whites all the time.
