The two-party strangled hold on American governance has to end.

Giant corporations bankroll Republican and Democratic party jokers, and the mainstream press promotes them -- like the NYT bestowing front-page legitimacy on Sarah Palin at every turn instead of profiling third, fourth, and fifth party candidates for everything from state legislatures to the presidency.

The only hope for this republic is for citizen legislators motivated by the public interest to serve in Washington. Otherwise corporate fiefdoms will continue to make their own rules, more and more Americans will be disempowered and enslaved, and the country will continue to be carved up into enemy camps defended by private armies.
