Editor,
Student loan money is supposed to provide financial support for people who would otherwise not be able to go to college. It is not supposed to provide employment for 35,000 underlings and no-risk profits for their sharpie bosses, who have sunk their noses into the corporate welfare trough.
Mr. Obama said that eliminating this superfluous middle-man is a no-brainer. He is right. Let the geniuses scamming around with government student loan funds find someone else to loan money to.
