No law.

Editor,

Americans are laboring under the delusion that giant corporations and their lackeys in government care about the American economy or the American people. Look at how they make money in impoverished nations: plunder resources, steal from the poor, brutalize workers. What makes anyone think their attitude towards American citizens is any different?

Corporate globalization is the means by which the richest people on Earth make as much money for themselves as they possibly can at any and everyone else's expense.

Also, what makes the Catholic church sweeping child abuse under their rug different from the Obama administration sweeping BushCo war crimes under theirs? The rich and their pals who feed the world into their pockets are above the law. There is no law. The law is a sham, a ruse, and a joke . . . to keep everyday people talking like there is some recourse where there is none. There is only money, and the game is rigged so that you make money for the rich and they give you as close to zero in return as they can possibly get away with.
