The climate catastrophe that is supposed to befall our grandchildren in 50 years unless we do something to stave it off is not going to happen in 50 years. It has already started happening and is happening now.
I personally predict that the glacier that covers Greenland is going to slide into the ocean one day in the next few years, and that will be end of story for human civilization as we know it.
Is my prediction based on scientific evidence that this is going to happen and that it is going to happen much sooner than some scientists worry? No. It is based on the greed, idiocy, and inaction of our equivalent of Easter Island's kings whose stupidity destroyed that place's habitability.
