Editor,
It's the BP oil spill all over again. Only this time it isn't dolphins, pelicans, and shrimp being killed by oil; it is people and radiation.
I can appreciate the "authorities" not wanting millions of people to panic, even billions across the globe (TONS of radioactive waste on the verge of exploding into the stratosphere, you see), but the piecemeal, vaguely inconclusive dribble of information is also just the sort of fig leaf that smarter-than-everybody-else corporate types employ to cover their behinds in hopes that the truth, like an undersea plume, will never be accurately sorted out and they will never have to pay the true costs of their bumbling arrogance and greed.
