Not a simple situation. I trust the West's intentions, at least with respect to how long it took to intervene in the Balkans, but the real problems begin when Gaddafi is no longer able to impose his will on the rebels.
From the pictures of rebel fighters in the NYT it looks to me like a military stalemate is the most likely outcome on the ground. What then? And if the rebels manage to depose Gaddafi, what then? And what role should the West play in any of these post-air-strike developments? A murky picture, hard to understand.
