Smoke.

Editor,

The notion that "raising taxes would reduce incentives to work and create wealth" makes no sense to me.

The fact is that if you pay a lot of taxes, it (should) mean that you make a lot of money. And someone motivated to make a lot of money will make as much as they can regardless how much tax they pay. What. Someone who likes driving Lamborghinis is only going to make enough to drive a Nissan Sentra? It's ridiculous. S/he will work harder to make more so that lust for wealth and power can be satisfied.

Republican arguments that taxing "job creators" will hurt the economy are smoke, just one more sophistic distortion to try to scam as much money as possible into their benefactors' pockets without their having to do anything to get it.
