Editor,
Anathema to Republicans is even the thought of "state-run" media because such a big and powerful conduit into the minds of millions could fill the populace with disinformation and convince readers/viewers to believe politically dangerous nonsense.
But a big, powerful corporation like News Corp that controls print, cable, movies, and even radio and broadcast TV, and therefore possesses exactly those capabilities itself, is not, in the wacky world of Republican "logic," a threat.
Why is this?
