NYT commenters know the Keynesian score, but it is truly frightening to read comments on a site like MarketWatch.com, where genius men-in-the-street, thoroughly bamboozled by Rupert Murdoch, et. al., spew amazingly ignorant drivel to the effect that: "Obama is killing jobs," or "the EPA is killing jobs," or "Obama is spending the country into oblivion." It is so disheartening to read products like this of the stupidity and ignorance of the average American consumer of mass media I find myself thinking again and again all day: "Where can I run to escape from this?"
