This is America. People are allowed to make $20 million a year here. But it matters how you make that $20 million.
Defrauding homeowners with mortgages law school professors do not understand, bundling worthless loans fraudulently rated AAA and selling them to major investors including European banks while simultaneously betting against them, and paying yourself 300 times as much as you did 30 years ago while simultaneously cutting the pay and slashing the benefits of people who work for you are not equivalent to creating a TV sitcom enjoyed by millions of viewers to nobody's detriment at all.
Dominating with enormous sums of money our nominal democracy so that policies that benefit the richest 1% and harm everybody else are adopted is not nice either.
You are going to have to try harder, Mr. Bruni, to discredit the Occupy movement and the millions of people from all walks of life who support it.
