Editor,
I found an article in today's NY Times, "Female Voters and the Republican Primary," extremely troubling.
According to the article, revulsion at Republican misogyny is nowhere near as widespread as one would expect. In fact, majorities of various categories women voted for Rick Santorum in Michigan and elsewhere.
This makes no sense to me.
Also, when the general election rolls around, I will not be at all surprised to see Republicans stuff their sexual hangups back into the closet if their pollsters tell them airing their hatred for women is a liability.
That our economy has been systematically dismantled by the Republicans, that minority voting rights have been decimated, and women's rights are under full-scale attack I find extremely disheartening.
In progress, too, is the purchase of an election by the richest 1% of the 1%. A great country is being destroyed under our feet, and with the NDAA having shredded our Bill of Rights, there is no telling how terrible life might be here soon.
