Republicans have to learn not only that government is necessary, grudgingly, but that it is vital; that government alone is capable of contributing economically what the private sector cannot and never will.

Trickle-down economics is a fantasy.

It is time for Republicans in government to learn how to govern, and it is time for their constituency to understand they are members of American society, not its owners.
