Editor,
American government is optimized for and dominated by ideologues who spearhead concentrating as much wealth as possible in an ever dwindling number of hands.
Look at the budget battle in Washington, DC.
Republicans want cuts, cuts, and more cuts to any program designed to support American citizens' ability to live life and pursue happiness. Meanwhile, they refuse to tax people who have more money than they could spend in a thousand lifetimes.
Do Americans really want a country in which 5% of the population owns 80% of its wealth?
Or is this perverse vision of society being sold on false pretenses to those who don't understand what is going on and rammed down the throats of those of who do?
