Pot and Kettle.

Editor,

The US suspending military aid to Egypt would go a long way toward convincing rank-and-file Americans that the United States might no longer underwrite repression.

Also, John Kerry's hypocrisy vis a vis government violence against peaceful assembly and protest is belied by the coordinated violent destruction of Occupy encampments across the USA last year.

The American ruling class is no stranger to violence against peaceful protest. It tends to reserve its murders for locations overseas, but in aggregate the killings of unarmed American people of color by American police probably number as many if not more than the protesters gunned down by the Egyptian military.

Pots and kettles would do better not to call each other black.
