When the screws on American workers and the American poor have been twisted tighter than even the American public will tolerate and they rebel, purges will ensue.

"You're just paranoid," you scoff.

Perhaps.

But you don't have to look far to find dissidents rounded up and killed by agents of the rapacious right: Pinochet, Suharto, the Argentine junta, Reza Shah Pahlavi, and a long list of other murdering dictators the USA has supported since 1953.

What exactly were the aims of those dictators?

What are the aims of the American ruling class today?

No difference.

Except the ease with which anyone who opposes them can be disposed of.
