Outside.

Editor,

So-called "Humanitarian Intervention" is the latest pretext for war proffered by the chicken-hawk right who just can't seem to get enough of killing people.

Take one small step back from the sentimental, lofty rhetoric in the piece linked to below and ask who is arming, funding, supporting, and inspiring the hodgepodge of homicidal maniacs wreaking havoc in Syria.

Syrian discontent with Assad's regime led to demonstrations which the idiot Assad, thinking he could behave like his father and get away with it, reacted to with brutal violence. So the Syrian people rebelled.

So far so good.

Then regional actors -- Saudi Arabia and Qatar in particular -- motivated by a Sunni-Shi'ia conflict which the Americans brilliantly stoked out of all historical proportion by allocating political power along sectarian lines in Iraq, sent in their proxies to fight it out with Iran on Syrian soil.

Does the USA have no leverage at all with its so-called allies in the Middle East? With Israel obviously not. With Saudi Arabia? With Qatar? The USA is probably on better terms with Iran than the regimes that need to pull their fighters out of Syria.

Force, force, force.

I am so sick of neocons, Bushniks, and other blockheaded theorists playing fast and loose with everybody else's lives with "force."

Tell your "allies" to back out of Syria and let the Syrians settle their political differences without interference from outside.
