Perpetual war fought by troops drawn from remote corners of the Empire remains perpetual war despite American troops' staying in their barracks.

Neoliberal globalism, predatory capitalism, vacuuming all but a rounding error of the world's wealth into a small number of hands and the alienation this engenders, are the problem underlying violent extremism and the model humanity must replace.

The USA being the architect of the current world economic order, it is hardly the place to look for a solution to the inequity institutionalized around the planet today, and it will not be until it corrects the problem of wealth disparity at home.
