Unmet.

Editor,

Mental health services are inadequate and state hospitals have virtually all been closed because mentally ill Republicans refuse to pay for them.

A sane society does not concentrate essentially all of its wealth in the hands of a few predatory corporations and a handful of rich people. It pools its financial resources and spends them ministering to the human needs of its citizens.

The values driving the organization of American society are completely upside down. This month, for example, durable goods orders across the board were down, but net durable goods orders were up because all those negative numbers were offset by purchases of weapons by the military.

Can someone please explain what the most expensive military in history is protecting? Is it something other than license for corporations and rich people to accumulate as much money as they can by neglecting every societal need that Republicans see to it go unmet?
