Story of the USA. It isn't Slager's mother or father, and it isn't Slager's past. It's the institution of policing in the USA. This shooting is what it means to be an instrument of state violence in a racist, authoritarian country owned and run by a criminal class that hires and trains ordinary people to be killers.
