No, torturing a few hundred prisoners in Guantanamo, a few hundred in Afghanistan, a few thousand innocent civilians in Iraq, and a few dozen abductees in clandestine "renditions" does not rise to the scale of Stalin's gulag. Give it time. To outdo Stalin's wildest dreams one starts small.
