Fifteenth-century Portuguese and Spanish Catholics -- in an orgy of slavery, torture, and murder spearheaded by Cristoforo Colombo -- exterminated millions of indigenous people in the so-called New World. The slaughter began with Colombo's virtual depopulation of the Island of Hispaniola. But, hey, Moslems are bloodthirsty savages, and don't you forget it.
