Editor,
Muqtada al-Sadr decided to cease fire last August and extended his cease fire for 6 months in February. Anbar province Sunnis got tired al Qaeda's atrocities last fall and decided to kick them out of Iraq. These events occurred coincidentally with the Bush-Petraeus surge, so Bush-Petreaus, predictably, credited themselves for them. Now the Sadr cease fire is breaking down. Soon Sunni-Shiite chaos will engulf Iraq. The occupation has accomplished nothing. The "success" of the surge is another fantasy.
