Energy Follies

Here are two sources of funds that can be recovered immediately and invested in ON-SHORE development, manufacture, and deployment of renewable energy technologies:

1. $80 billion in taxpayer funds transferred annually to oil corporations in the form of subsidies, otherwise known as corporate welfare or socialism for the rich, for which there is absolutely no justification.

2. Tens of billions of dollars that can and should be recovered from the oil corporations who, amazingly, do not pay one red cent in royalties to the U.S. government for the oil they extract from publicly owned American land.
