Mr. Darcy Comes Courting

Afghan and Iraqi civilians are dying every day in U.S. Air Force bombings. Tens of Palestinian children are shot every month by Israelis with American weapons. American homeowners are losing their homes. American workers lucky enough not to have been laid off yet are poorer every day. Teen-aged Asian girls in multinational corporate sweatshops live miserable hopeless lives while Wall Street fat cats lie and cheat and steal more brazenly every day.

Do I care how thin Obama is?

I worry that he is a ruling class shill posing as one of us and that American fascism, on the verge of blooming today, will flower under him.
