Editor,
Republican tax cuts and Republican refusal to spend money on "ordinary" citizens' needs -- like levees, water mains, roads, bridges, trains, schools, and health care -- are key factors in the disaster that has befallen our country.
Why President Obama wants to work Republicans' failed ideas into his program is beyond me.
