Stupid greedy jerks.

What caused this catastrophe is not a lack of regulators or a lack of regulations, who would be flouted and ignored by the real cause of this catastrophe.

What caused this disaster is a cohort of pigs greedy enough to loot the very social fabric that made their business possible and stupid enough to believe that fantastic schemes to multiply zero by a million -- without lifting a finger, mind you -- would make them a billion.

The root cause of this travesty is the utter lack of respect -- for anyone or anything -- that drives the stupid, greedy jerks who did this.
